Kelbourne Woolens Scout!

I’ve been a fan of Kelbourne Woolens Scout for a long time and I’m thrilled to have it in stock at the studio! Scout is a DK weight 100% wool yarn composed of a blend of Corriedale and Merino fibers. The Corriedale adds structure and stitch definition, while the Merino adds softness! Perfect for garments, Scout comes in a generous 100g, 274 yd hank. It is unfussy, beautiful, high-quality, and comes in a gorgeous palette of heathered shades.

Another quality I love about Scout is that it’s versatile gauge-wise. Worked up closer to a worsted gauge, it’s drapey and super soft, yet your finished project will maintain its shape and hold up well to frequent wear. For projects calling for a light DK / Sport weight yarn, the stitch definition really shines. For aran / bulky projects, try Scout held double for incredible loft and squish factor!

Poet Cowl Kits!

Sari Nordlund is known for her beautifully elegant knitwear designs — full of texture, lace, and effortless style. Every project I’ve cast on has been a joy, but her Poet Scarf was especially hard to put down.
Having just finished the cowl version, I can say it’s just as addictive — and I’ve been wearing it nonstop while this unpredictable weather sticks around.

We created these Poet Cowl Kits with Kelbourne Woolens Scout because we knew it would provide beautiful stitch definition and be soft next to the skin. The cowl is constructed on the bias, so it sits in a slightly asymmetrical fashion when worn. It can be styled in many ways: wear it draped softly around the neck for an effortless look, tucked neatly under a coat for extra coziness, or pulled up higher to shield from the cold. Its lace texture adds a delicate touch whether layered over a dress, blouse, or knitwear.

Kits contain -  two skeins of Kelbourne Woolens Scout (100% Wool; 274 yds / 100g each) in chosen color and a printed / digital copy of the pattern

New Notions!

Beyond the lovely colors and fun shapes, Kayleigh from Allstitch Studio designs the stitch markers I reach for first! There’s just something about them — like Goldilocks and the Three Bears…they’re not too small, not too big, but just right.
As we all know, stitch markers have a way of disappearing, so I’m elated to have all the various styles and sizes back on hand!

The seamless Stitch Marker Rings are perfect for any project and they come sized Small, Large and X-Large (shown above). Also shown above, Star Stitch Markers in shades of blue!

Also great for every project, but especially useful for lace knitting projects (because the petals keep those pesky traveling yarnovers where they belong) are their Flower Stitch Markers, which come in size Small or Large.

Also, just in…our own All The Strings Stitch Stoppers, available in irresistibly fun designs! Novelty designs come as a pair and the Hexagons come in two-packs.

Class Updates!

We have some new project classes launching soon — including a class (and yarn kits!) for the dreamy project shown above — My Duo Scarf by NORgardknitters.
In the meantime, check out the new, updated time slot for our Thursday evening BYOP, which will now meet weekly from 5:00pm - 7:00pm! Our BYOP (Bring Your Own Project) meetups are relaxed, casual get togethers, so if you can’t make it right at 5pm or can’t stay until the end, it’s no biggie! Bring your current WIP and come stitch with friends.

We’ve also added a new bi-weekly Sunday Stitch Clinic from 1:00pm-3:00pm, so if you’d like some help with your current project, some project planning advice or just want to get out of the house for a couple hours on a Sunday, stop by and stitch with us!
