A New Chapter
You’re receiving this email because, at some point during my career managing local yarn shops, we crossed paths and I wanted to share news of my latest venture with you.
This past summer, circumstances beyond my control led me to pause and re-evaluate what I wanted to do next, career-wise. After spending many years running yarn shops for others, the most obvious next step seemed to be opening a shop of my own. At the same time, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging it can be to sustain a small retail craft business, which made me question whether it was the right move, or the right moment.
I’ve chosen to focus on the areas of the business that I love and where I thrive. Sourcing and testing yarns to find the very best for every purpose, finding quality patterns to share with customers, pairing the perfect yarn with the right kind of design and showcasing them to you in a way that is inspiring are all things I feel I do best.
I’ve also been leading group classes for more than a decade, and connecting with fellow fiber crafters — bringing people together in a shared creative space —continues to bring me immense joy.
With all of this in mind, and after much reflection, I landed on something I believe is truly needed and allows me to focus on my strengths. All The Strings Yarns is a place where you will find a curated collection of yarns and kits for projects you will love to create. It’s a place that will host classes, group stitch circles, events and pop-ups.
Located in Norwalk, CT inside a renovated loft with high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and large windows that flood the space with natural light, The Studio @ 64 Wall Street is my new home away from home—and I sincerely hope it will become yours, too.

Sock Obsession!
There is really never a time when I don’t have at least one pair of socks cast on. They are my go-to travel project, they make excellent tv knitting and they are indispensable for knit night with friends!
Summer Lee is one of my favorite sock pattern designers and I really loved her first book, The Sock Project, so when I saw she was releasing a new book I knew I had to have it!
There are not many pattern preview photos available online, so I’m including some here. These are just a small sampling of all the fabulous patterns available in The Sock Obsession. You’ll be struggling to decide which pair to cast on first!

Callisto Hat Kits!
Back in 2019, Kelbourne Woolens released their Year of Hats and at the time, I was managing a LYS and put together a monthly subscription for the kits. I loved the concept of knitting one hat a month and then by year end, having a dozen hats to gift or share!
The patterns all used the same yarn (but in different colors) and could be done with one ball or less…so in the event there was a design that didn’t float your boat, or perhaps you found one or two a notch above your skill level, it didn’t matter—because you could use the yarn to make a duplicate of one of the designs you did love! A few years later they released the Year of Bulky Hats and for 2026, it’s the Year of DK Hats!
The January 2026 Hat design, Callisto Hat by Tommy Knits, is a stunner! The hat features a tubular cast on, beautiful XO cables, and intricate crown decreases. A pom pom tops it all off and a custom KW tag completes the look.
These kits are beautifully packaged and include one skein of Kelbourne Woolens Germantown DK (100% Wool, 270 yds / 100g) in color Jade, a printed / digital copy of the pattern, a Year of DK Hats sticker sheet, a tapestry needle, stitch markers, a KW logo leather hat tag and a small muslin drawstring bag to store the notions in!

Upcoming Classes!
The first project class I listed sold out before I had a chance to announce it in a newsletter. No matter what turns life takes, it’s the knitting community that has stepped up for me every single time — and in more ways than I can count. Thank you to everyone who signed up!

I also host several Stitch Clinics weekly. These group sessions are designed to offer tailored knitting and crochet instruction for whatever project you happen to be working on, but they’re also a great option if there’s a new technique you’ve been wanting to learn. An added perk? They are fun!

Some Things I’m Loving…
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I wanted to share this recipe for a super quick + super easy + super delicious Microwave Sticky Toffee Pudding. I made it a couple weeks ago and it was a winner. A majority of the ingredients are items you probably have in your pantry right now…and being able whip up a dessert like this in the microwave? Game changer!
Anna Husemann is a textile and knitwear designer from Hamburg, Germany. I first discovered her work in 2021 when I spotted her Silvatica shawl design in an issue of Pom Pom Quarterly and I’ve been a fan ever since.
